How can we assist you?
Many of the children and young people who have been referred to Wundarra Services have a history of challenging behaviours and disrupted placements. They require intensive care and support that delivers clear structured management strategies and achievable outcomes.
Based on the specialised nature of Wundarra’s service provision, we are able to provide assistance and desired outcomes to children and young people to help them learn how to cope and deal with day to day issues. Our management programs focus on combinations of the following:
- Personal strengths
- Positive reinforcement
- Reward for achievement
- Encouragement of self-responsibility
- Detailed behaviour support plans
- Anger management strategies
- Encouragement of appropriate relationships with positive role models
- Housing in community/rural settings
- Involvement in sporting/social/community activities
- Participation in individual or small group programs
- Tuition—school/TAFE etc
Wundarra Services can assist referring agencies by working in partnership with the agency/department and child or young person to provide safe accommodation, supervised care, address behavioural, health and emotional issues, and foster personal strengths and interests.

Wundarra homes are found in local residential neighbourhoods and are comfortable, clean and appropriately furnished. Residences, wherever possible, are located close to the child or young persons school or education/training facility, medical practitioner and other health care providers.
At all times Wundarra staff encourage children and young people to fully participate in educational/training programs that best suits their needs.
Wundarra provides transportation and mentoring services to children and young people in relation to their specific educational/training activities.
